Violence and the Doctor

Now to go even further back than Daleks Duelling Dinosaurs.

In Violence and the Doctor, the Telos AM crew brings you a discussion of all the brutality in Doctor Who as we discuss serials from The Deadly Assassin to The Impossible Astronaut/Day of the Moon. Lindsey talks Tom Baker, Alex goes brief about Resurrection of the Daleks,  Nick sounds like he’s recording in traffic (and brings a second Baker to the table), while Julian discusses The Silence and their violence.

You may not have heard, but the Gallifrey One convention in LA happened a few weeks ago. Lindsey & Alex attended this small but gutsy convention and convened the following week to talk about how much they enjoyed it. Minisode 1: TAROHI 1

Welcome, welcome, welcome, to the first of our new series of Minisodes! Shorter episodes that we’ll throw in randomly between the longer, monthly episodes that will contain various interviews, reviews, and other junk.

What we have for you this time, however, is certainly not junk. Our first Minisode is also the first episode in a project to trace Doctor Who fandom in Canada over the years. The project is Julian’s baby, and in this episode he interviews Catharine Cardiff about her experience as a Doctor Who fan in Victoria, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, about being a fan on the West Coast of Canada in the 1980s.
